Novolin NPH vial. 10ml. Is an injectable medication that is structurally similar to the insulin produced by the pancreas. Novolin N is an intermediate-acting insulin and starts working 11/2 hours after injection. The greatest blood sugar lowering effect is between 4 and 12 hours after the injection. This blood sugar lowering may last up to 24 hours.
